Make Up Classes

Any Cotillion member can come to the make-up class. (Mondays following Cotillion events from 4-5pm) If your child has missed an event or needs one-on-one instruction they are welcome to come. The class usually has 1-10 members so they will receive a lot of personal attention. Please call Susan if you plan on attending. All dress is very casual for this class. Most members come straight from school. Make up classes are usually held at the home of Mrs. Gessler at 318 East Lafayette in Fayetteville.

Guests for Mardi Gras

Guests are welcome, i.e. parents, siblings, grandparents, family members.  A professional photographer will be available at the Mardi Gras Ball for anyone who would like to have family photos or photos made with other cotillion students.

Personal Items

We are not responsible for lost articles. PLEASE MARK YOUR NAME IN YOUR COAT. It is not necessary to bring hand bags.

Gloves

We will order gloves for you if you will indicate on your application your request and size. There is a small additional charge for gloves. We do require gloves be worn at all semi-formal and formal events.  Purchased gloves can be picked up at the parent’s meeting or at any of the dances.

Absentees

Please let us know if your child will not be at Cotillion. Give us as much notice as possible. It is very important for our boy girl ratio and scheduling our teen helpers. It also helps us to start on time, so we are not delaying for members who are not coming.

Drop Off

If you will follow the the prescribed routes (see below), you will find your child can be “dropped-off” at The Bailey Center at Mount Sequoyah. Our assistants will be there to assist and pair an escort for your child from the car and into the ballroom.

Pick Up

We cannot accept responsibility for Cotillion participants after they leave the building. We have never had any difficulty with this, but please make sure you communicate pick up arrangements with your child, so we are all on the same page. Thank you!

Cotillion Helpers will help with pick-up. They will try to assist your child in finding your car, and help them get in curb-side. Please drive very slowly and watch for other Cotillion members.
